That's what we teach and preach here at St. John Lutheran Church in Aurora, Indiana -- Christ Crucified! On the basis of Holy Scripture we believe that Jesus Christ took upon Himself our sins, died on the cross as our substitue, and rose again on the third day to proclaim victory over sin and death. On behalf of God's people here at St. John I would like to invite you to learn more about us. St. John Lutheran Church was established by German immigrants back in 1860 an has maintained a Christian day school since its beginning. By God's grace we are growing closer to Him and one another through His gifts to us in Word and Sacrament. Thank you for your interest in our ministry. May the Lord richly bless you! Rev. Edward Davis, Pastor St. John Lutheran School has been in existence for more than 140 years. However, the same mission still prevails: to educate children in our church and in our community with Christ as the center of everything that we do. St. John is proud to be able to provide a quality, Christian education to children in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8. Our Pre-Kindergarten class for 4 year olds is a full-day, five day a week learning experience. We are accredited by the National Lutheran School Association and meet or exceed curriculum standards set forth by the State of Indiana. The mission of St. John Lutheran School is to provide, in partnership with parents, a Christian education which guides children to know Jesus as their Savior through God's Word, and to strive for academic excellence in a life of service to Him. If you are looking for a new school family for your child, we invite you to come meet us and tour our facilities. We would also be happy to share with you information about our church family. You may call or send a request for information by using the web page entitled "Information Request". God's blessings, Mrs. Terri Schmeltzer, Administrator ![]()
